With this partnership, over 3,000 POS merchants will receive health education content, monitor their test results, choose a pharmacy, and many more. Over time, Kippa’s over 500,000 bookkeeping app users will also be able to subscribe to any healthcare plans of their choice at a discounted price.
Kippa is highly committed to the growth and development of businesses. The company remains true to its mission which is to make it easy for anyone to start and run profitable businesses in Africa by building a full suite of software and financial services for merchants. For business owners to successfully run and grow their businesses, they need to prioritize their health and overall well-being. The partnership with Wellahealth is Kippa’s latest move to ensure that its users’ health needs are met. Kippa’s POS merchants, as well as bookkeeping app merchants, will have access to discounted, reliable, and convenient health coverage at their disposal.
- Wellahealth is Kippa’s official insurance partner across all their products, serving all their SME users on an “opt-out” basis.
- Kippa users who opt for Wellahealth services can access telemedicine consultations, chronic disease screening, drug discounts, and so on.
- Kippa continues to be dedicated to the growth and well-being of business owners.
“We are passionate about providing everything business owners need to thrive. Of course, that can be a tool that allows them to manage and receive finances, but, more importantly, provide them with access to healthcare when needed. This partnership would help us take care of our merchants and their businesses.” says Kennedy Ekezie, CEO of Kippa.
The CEO of Wellahealth, Dr Ikpeme Neto, believes that "this partnership will foster deeper connection between Kippa and Wellahealth in their quest to ensure Nigerians take their health seriously as they do their businesses".
Echoing that thought, Joseph Okoroafor, WellaHealth’s Marketing and Communications Lead added that “as a health technology startup, working with a pan-African brand to bring healthcare to Kippa’s agents is an important step towards bringing more persons under a formal health coverage thus reducing out-of-pocket and emergency health expenditure that may have been incurred by their businesses. The Partnership also seeks to extend health coverage to Kippa’s 500,000 SMEs where they can access 3 months’ worth of health coverage for the price of one”
This partnership is the beginning of many more partnerships for Kippa as they are looking to expand and deliver more value for merchants.
