Can you tell me a bit about yourself and the business you run?
My name is Mrs Chidinma Cindy Darlington-Ifeanyi, I'm a Natural Hair Therapist. I specialize in scalp treatment for people with dandruff and lice. The name of my salon is Hairgicians Hub and I’ve been in this business for about 4 years now.
Wow, that’s awesome. Where is your salon located?
My store is located at 1, Emmanuel School Junction Okuru Road Off Peter Odili Road Port Harcourt, but come January, I will be moving to a bigger place. All Glory to God!!!
Amazing, how is your business so far?
It gets challenging sometimes, but my husband’s words motivate and ground me; he always tells me “keep pushing, people are watching”.
Aww, couple goals. What's your typical day like as a natural hair therapist?
Every day is truly a new day with my business because I always have new customers and new ways to help. On a day when I don’t have a lot of customers, I spend a lot of time talking to my employees, giving them pep talks and telling them how they can solve customers’ problems. After that, I spend my day researching and studying new approaches and treatments to make my clients feel better with my services.

Thank you!! So why did you start using Kippa?
As you know I’m not an accountant, I’m a chemist. So, keeping and managing my books as a business owner isn’t really my forte. Before Kippa, I went through several other methods to get my books in order; I spent huge sums of money on accountants and I even tried some other apps but none of them worked for me.
I heard about Kippa from the Cubana Chief priest when he posted about Kippa on his social media. I know Cubana chief priest to be a businessman so I thought if he was using Kippa for his business, I could also use it. I found the answer to all my problems through it, (Kippa) and all I can say is it’s the best. I can monitor my business from my phone, my staff can also use the office phones to manage the business when I am not around and I can see it all on my phone.
That is very cool. In what ways has Kippa helped you with managing your finances/accounts?
The number one thing Kippa has helped me do is to reduce the money I spend on paper every month. Before my office was full of paper everywhere but now it’s so easy to issue our receipts via WhatsApp to the client. Kippa has also helped me keep track of my debtors, sometimes people make deposits and before I started using Kippa, I would lose a lot of money by forgetting the debts. Finally, with Kippa I can now keep track of my expenses and profit every month, this lets me gauge my business’ progress.
Wow! Who was the last person you told about Kippa?
I have told so many people about Kippa but the most recent would be a client I had a few weeks ago. I sent her an invoice using Kippa and she asked me about Kippa so, I took her through all the features - cashbook, inventory and even debt collection. I was excited to share this app with someone else that could benefit from it.
What has your experience been like with the app?
It’s been so easy to use, I have taught all my employees how to use it; I love that I can be logged in on several devices with the same account. It’s been a smooth journey so far

The inventory, I love it so much. When I see that money in the tab, I’m always happier
What advice would give to any business that just started using Kippa
Kippa is a structure to your finances, a business without structure cannot stand.
Have faith and leave your accounting to Kippa; although as a new business you have to be fair and flexible with your price rates, Kippa allows you to be firm with your prices.
When all your prices are logged on the Kippa app, customers are less likely to price you and you are less likely to even answer.
Final Question, any suggestions for the Kippa team?
I would love it if the Kippa team included personalized birthday messages and reminders for my customers. I believe this would make my customers happy because it feels good to be remembered and appreciated. It builds a bond between my business and my customers, which would enhance patronage.
